As a community team we don’t have the financial backing or physical resources of a school building. The success of Microchips and Queso is dependent on partnering with individuals and companies as we exchange resources, services, and talent.

• Your generous contributions enable our team to learn programming, building, critical thinking, public speaking, computer aided design (CAD), 3D printing, data analysis, and so much more.

• Your support directly impacts STEM education in the San Antonio community through our outreach events. In the 2023 – 2024 season we shared STEM with over 2,260 students in San Antonio.

• Your sponsorship helps us obtain necessary equipment and parts, pay competition and registration fees, and most importantly, provides this exciting opportunity for the team members.

The Impact of FIRST Robotics

Your support enables students to participate in FIRST robotics.

FIRST is a robotics competition founded by inventor Dean Kamen. FIRST, an acronym for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology,” is an international phenomenon, which pairs students with corporate engineering sponsors to build a robot which compete in a sports-like event.

The FIRST program immerses students in hands-on learning alongside real engineers, turning STEM professionals into role models as inspiring as athletes.

Young men and women who participate in FIRST are more likely to major in a STEM field and have successful careers.
